52 is Check-in Asia’s Magic Number

As we sat back and re-evaluated the past 12 months, we were inspired to crunch some numbers regarding Check-in Asia’s myriad travel and tourism projects in 2016. We waded through databases and archives – and produced this infographic.

In 2016 alone, Check-in Asia partnered with a total of 52 clients across 34 countries and cities – ranging from the US, France and South Africa to the Chinese destinations of Beidahu and Luoyang. Regional and global companies called on us to prepare white papers, ecommerce content and thought leadership articles. We also donned hard hats for six onsite hotel consulting projects at pre-opening hotels and resorts throughout China.

And we wrote a crazy amount of press releases, EDMs and social media campaigns for our regular, retained and new clients. Allow us to name-drop a moment here because we love working with our 14 best-in-the-biz global hotel brand clients – including Hyatt Hotels & Resorts, The Peninsula Hotels, Mandarin Oriental Hotels Group, Intercontinental Hotels and amba Hotels. Oh, we also penned a book for Insight Guides, an Asia travel supplement for Condé Nast and a quarterly Shanghai destination app for Seasonal Cities.

All in all, it was a super busy year for Check-in Asia, the specialist division of Scribes of the Orient. And 2017 is off to an exciting start – with an inspiring portfolio of marketing, messaging and trends analysis projects across Asia’s new travel landscape.

We can’t wait to find out what the Year of the Rooster has in store for Check-in Asia.
